In Her Own Home

After coming to the Community Day Center every day for seven months for companionship and housing seach assistance, Camille ("Ma") has moved into an apartment in Malden. more...

Directions to the Day Center

The center is located at the First Presbyterian Church of Waltham at 34 Alder St., Waltham MA.

By Car: From Rt. I95, use exit 26 and take Route 20 east toward Waltham. From Boston, it is generally faster to take the Mass Turnpike out to I95, then north to exit 26, but Route 20 can also be followed through Brighton, Watertown, then Waltham.

The intersection with Moody Street is approximately 1.2 miles from exit 26 and is the road that runs along the west side of the Waltham Common. Turn onto Moody St. and continue 0.6 miles to Alder St. on the left, the first street after a large school building. Drive one block down Alder and look for the First Presbyterian Church on the left at the intersection with Beech St. Enter in the front, or if that door is locked, go around to the back entrance on Beech St.

By Train/Bus: Within Metro Boston, take the Red Line train to Central Square, Cambridge. Catch the No. 70 bus from the corner of Green and Magazine Streets. Ride for about 25 minutes and get off at the Waltham Commuter Rail Station. It's about a 15 minute walk south on Moody Street to Alder Street. Use the MBTA Trip Planner to plan routes from other suburban locations.
