The Community Day Center of Waltham

The Community Day Center of Waltham, a not-for-profit organization, is the only day shelter in the metro-west area.  We provide a warm and welcoming place for the homeless and those who may feel alone and isolated.  By building a trusting relationship with our guests and providing them with access to services, they move beyond crisis and move toward self-sufficiency. We are open Mondays through Fridays from 1:30pm to 4:30pm.  In the winter months, we are also open in the morning from 7:30am to 9:00am.

Who Do We Serve?

The Community Day Center serves individuals who are:

  • homeless
  • lacking a permanent, safe and affordable place to live
  • living in isolation
  • have experienced emotional or physical abuse
  • have multiple and complex problems and have fallen through the cracks of our human service and legal systems
  • under-employed or not employed
  • poor

Would you like us to speak to your organization?

We'd love to visit your organization, church, business, club, etc., and give a talk about our mission and how we address the needs of the homeless and people in need in Waltham.
